I am currently a student *****t Everett Community College, where I've attended school for two years. At 21, I feel I'm ready to move on to the University of Washing*****n to complete my degree in Business. I ***** excited about the UW ***** program because I know it has such a good reputation with employers and graduates, and I know I can meet my future goals by attending UW. Business motivates me ***** a number of reasons. The business world is complex ***** fascinating, and I know that my career will never be boring or stand still. ***** have worked at Costco in the business ********** since 2002, and so, I experience many challenges in ***** retail business environment every day. ********** have taught me the importance of customer service, ordering, stocking, sales, display, and many o*****r aspects ***** the retail trade. Now, I feel I am ***** to learn even more about the business world through my degree, and entering the ***** Program at UW is the next step in my future ***** path. Because ***** work ***** go to school, I do have a compelling need to finish ***** as *****on ***** possible, and ***** on to ***** chosen career. I believe *****re are always challenges while completing your education. I have worked since ***** was a teen*****ger to help support my family and myself. I work full-time at ***** now, and I also volunteer at the Sarvey Wildlife Center helping injured animals, because I sincerely believe in giving back to my community any way ***** *****. I balance my work, school, and volunteering successfully, which is not al*****s easy. I will be ***** first generation of my blended ***** to graduate from college, ***** so, my family is behind me as much as they can be. However, ultimately, ***** k***** it is up ***** me. Graduating will not ***** an easy tas*****, but I feel that ***** activities already clearly indicate ***** I am up for the challenge of blending school, *****, *****d community involvement.

***** cultural background is half white and ***** Japanese, so I under***** the many cultural differences in our society, and have experienced many of *****m *****-hand. As a child, there were often other *****ian children on the playground, but with my ***** looks, I was always ***** target of teasing and abuse. I look Asian, but ***** *****o look white, ***** so, the kids liked to pick on me and make my life miserable. I did not like it *****n, and I work hard to keep an open mind now. I ***** experienced prejudice and hatred, ***** ***** ***** sad that it exists in our ***** **********.
