admissions don't believe in co*****cidences. Big or small, frightening or silly, coincidences have the power to change the course of our lives. Therefore they are always meaningful and never "just coincidence." I have also noticed that coincidences: whether momentary synchronicities or huge powerful revelations, occur more often during times of stress or emotional intensity. ***** had borne my first child at the tender age ***** sixteen, before many kids ***** ***** had even lost their virginity. Stress isn't even the work to describe my emotional state at the time: I was besieged with thoughts of suicide, despair: basically all ***** nightmares that would accompany the notion of becoming a mother before I learned how to take care of myself. Before I was pregnant, I ***** like the star at school, but suddenly ***** felt ***** a fre*****k. When the full brunt of my situation hit me, I began to experience a wave of eerie coincidences ***** propelled ***** toward the caring professions ***** a counseling psychology c*****reer.
A first *****ted by participating in peer counseling programs while I was in high *****. Although ***** discovered teen counsel*****g because I felt I needed help, it didn't ***** long for me to discover that helping others was part of the healing process. Once I came to terms with my reality, I continued to work ***** ***** by seeking employment at local health care facilities. Currently I am a p*****ient care assistant at a local hospital, a position I dearly enjoy. ***** still get stressed out, especially when I go to ***** while my four-year old is ill. Yet ***** some reason I always come home happy and s*****isfied.
I would like ***** continue working along these lines, but in a more ch*****llenging position as an LPN who specializes in adolescent *****. The patients who gravitate toward me the most seem to be those ***** can relate to me most. I ***** be equally as effective ***** with seniors or the disabled, but ***** I can empathize so well with troubled *****s I feel ***** my main talents lie in adolescent counseling psychology. My topsy-turvy teenage years give me ***** strength and conviction to help others, and I ***** at all feel that could ***** a simple coincidence. I need financial aid to further my *****er goals; as a single mom ***** cannot afford to pay ***** bills and advance my education. I appreciate the opportunity to apply for a scholarship that so aptly suits ***** needs—again not ano*****r coincidence. Moreover, throughout the course of my future career successes, I know I will be an optimal representative for your organization. Thank you for *****
