Why I Have Chosen to Pursue a Medical Degree?

***** children, most of us don't think of becoming the next big television star. Plenty of ***** have dreams like ***** did, of saving the world like my favorite super hero. Most of us learn how difficult that is as we grow older, and turn our thoughts to o*****r things, ***** a career, money, and fame ***** f*****tune. When it was my time to attend college, everyone around me knew I would become a banker or accountant. Ho*****ver, I ***** unable to choose a final career path, because nothing seemed right for me. How could ***** truly help someone as a b*****nker: give them free checking? My heart was not in those careers. Instead, I chose to serve my country.

***** graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Acade*****, and began serving my country on the *****NS Arctic. At ***** time the world ***** in a state of chaos, ***** U.S. and *****raq were on the brink of war, and terrorism had ***** a worldwide fe*****r. As a result, my vessels schedule w*****s about to change ***** unexpectedly so was my life. On March 19, 2003, ***** U.S. and coalition forces began conducting military operations against the nation of Iraq. Over a period of *****pproximately 4 months, I witnessed death and destruction first hand, and I knew what ***** wanted to do with the rest of my *****.

Occasionally my ship would pull into port and I ***** walk the streets of Middle Eastern *****s. During these journeys, I would encounter the ***** extraordinary people: women and children whose lives had been destroyed by years of war. The more I saw, the more these images ***** sick and dying ***** ***** not leave ***** mind. I realized there are underprivileged children back home who require medical attention just like ***** children. At that moment, ***** discovered my calling.
