Introduction

The United Bank of Switzerland, known commonly as UBS, is a le*****ding provider of private banking ***** in Geneva and Basel, Switzerland. They are a glob*****l financial presence with offices in Switzerland, the United States & Canada, Asia & the Pacific, Europe, Lat***** America ***** the Caribbean, and the Middle East & Africa ("About"). The organization provides a wide variety of ***** services, including asset management, investment banking, securities, and they say they are "the world's leading ***** ***** wealth management *****" ("Profile"). ***** company maintains, "Our first priority is our clients' success. We put advice at ***** heart of rel*****ionships with them" ("*****). In 1998, UBS merged with another large Swiss bank, SBS, and the merger was quite controversial for a number of re*****sons. Many SBS employees were thrown out ***** work after ***** merger, others were "urged" or f*****ced to cut back ***** part-***** hours, and a major labor group in Switzerland called UNIA protested it. In addition, there is compelling evidence that UBS closed numerous Holocaust victims' accounts during and after the Second World War, and did nothing to attempt ***** locate any living relatives of the account holders (Levin et. al. 90-93).
