Changes in culture and society

One of the most well-known formal organizations of prior generations is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). It was founded ***** 1909 with the purpose of improving the quality of life ***** African Americans ***** promoting social justice.

Ever since its beginnings, the NAACP has protested and battled against violence, segregation, and discrimination against ***** Americans. The NAACP has grown stronger since it was first founded. Today, it is one of ***** nation's chief civil rights ***** and continues to be an affective presence in promoting the rights of people of color. ***** current generation continues to *****nefit from the rewards ***** their century long struggle, such as affirmative action laws. Future *****s will also continue ***** benefit from the pers*****tence of generations past.

The personal and social development of people of color would not be the same today without groups ***** as these. The NAACP started social ***** economic programs for the disadvantaged, and more recently, ***** such as 'Operation Fare Share' to promote entrepreneurship within ***** African American community.

One of the foremost organizations that have significantly influenced the ***** of ***** Hispanic community in the past and present is the Labor Council for Latin American ***** (LCLAA). Founded in 1973, the LCLAA is a national Latino trade union association. *****ir continuing goal is to unite Hispanic workers and promote economic advancement in the Hispanic community. Just as the NAACP, the LCLLA will cont*****ue ***** benefit future generations.

In terms ***** responding to needs, someone in the counseling field would have ***** respond differently based on what services and programs exist for ***** Americans ***** Hispanics at the time.
