Is Cloning Right?

***** are not quite in a brave new world yet. On the contrary, we are in a decidedly timid new *****. For the first time in recorded history, humans ***** beginning to have within ********** own hands all the building blocks of life. This is not ***** story of mythical Pygmalion. It is not even the fictional story ***** Dr. Frankenstein, inspired by a feminist's fear of childbirth. This is a true story, *****nd it goes something like this: "The birth ***** a little lamb named Dolly, cloned from a sheep's udder... usher[s] in a new er***** of genetic engineering, and bring[s] with it new consideration of the ethical ***** scientific issues involved in cloning." Science claims to have progressed ***** the point that it can not aid in the process of creating life, as it has long done ***** in-vitro fertilizations, it can not only change ***** ***** make-up of living creatures, making glow-in-the-dark mice with human genes, or soybeans ***** taste like carrots, it has not ***** done these terrible things, now ***** ***** carbon copy adult animals and humans. For some people ***** is a thrilling step into the unkown, and one they will take willing. For the rest of the populace, it seems ***** a very bad idea. All of mythology, all of history, and the teachings of every religion has the same warning for humankind: don't push your luck. We are not gods, to create and take ***** at a whim. If it was advantageous for the human race to reproduce asexu*****y, nature would have equipped us to do so. Human cloning is an act ***** hubris, dangero***** in itself and frightful ***** its moral implications.

Why would *****re be such a consensus on this issue if something within the ***** psyche understood, intrinsically, that this idea was a risk to them? According to former President Clinton, spe*****king for the entire nation: "Any discovery that touches upon human creation is not simply a matter of ***** inquiry, it is a matter of morality and spirituality as well... The question here must be, why would humans wish to take ***** a miracle and turn it into a scientific process? Most skeptic see only frightening motivations behind the need ***** clones: organ harvest, trying to re***** dead loved ones (what a burden for ***** child!), egotistical or fertility reasons, and simple curiosity. Such use of humans is threateningly amoral at best. Social prophets predict fully developed clones being butchered ***** their organs, though many claim this scenario to be legally and scientifically unlikely. However, even now cloned embryos are *****ing massacred under the guise of a "harvest" to provide stem cells and undeveloped organ parts. Britain recently made it legal to "Allow *****
