The Cold War

***** are two things that we need to refer in this explanation. First of all, we need to determine whether the confrontation between ***** United States and the Soviet Union was a war and, if so, what kind of war was it, on what plans ***** it being fought and how it transformed itself into a "cold war," as it is nowadays currently referred to.

In my opinion, the ***** War was a war in ***** theoretical sense of the term. Indeed, it was first of ***** a confrontation. If we look at the two societies, the two economic systems th***** had been developed in each country, ***** political systems and the society in itself, with its rules ***** the way it had evolved - these were all completely different.

***** US had practiced for two hundred years a democratic system, with a market econo***** and a freedom that became universally known. In the ***** Union, the Commun*****t Party was in power and regulated every significant aspect of life ***** society. The last paragraph gives us a clue as to why the war was *****: ********** ***** no direct military *****. Indeed, if any, military confrontation between the two countries took the form of support towards different factions in a third *****. This is ***** c*****se in the Korean War, for example. While the ***** actually had troops and fought in ***** Peninsula, the R*****sians were sat*****fied to military supply the North Korean Army.

As I have previously stated, the cold war took the form of a constant competition for supremacy, ********** the risk of a full action ***** between the two superpowers. ********** couldn't be otherwise: the leaders of ***** ***** countries realized that a full-sc*****led war ***** the two nations could have only destroyed mankind ***** good, because it would have ***** a nuclear war, with
