FINDINGS

Within Chapter 4, the findings obtained from the study will be presented. The ***** are organized and presented on the basis of the structure of ***** survey instrument used within the *****. Demographics

*****re were 33 ***** participants who participated in ***** study, of which 28 were lecturers representing the eight ***** colleges in ***** while 5 were adm*****istrators. Of the *****, a total of 16 were females ***** 17 were males. The average number of years spent teaching ***** 15, with 1 year being the least amount reported and 25 being ***** most. Level of Computer Knowledge

When study participants were questioned regarding ***** usage ***** computer technology ********** the classroom and in the fulfillment of their responsibilities as teachers, almost all participants reported ***** they do utilize the computer to some degree. F*****dings indicated that approximately 62 percent of participants use a computer in ***** instruction. Of those who utilize a computer in the classroom, ***** vast majority of participants (75%) reported that they use a ***** less th*****n once a month as comp*****d to ***** who reported ***** on a m*****thly basis (22%) and those who use a computer on a weekly basis (3%).

***** questioned as to how *****s were utilized within the cl*****sroom, the findings indicated that the purposes for utilization reported by teachers varies somewhat. As reflected in Table 1, the vast ***** of participants reported that ***** ***** the computer for administrative purposes. Less than one-half ***** participants indicated that they used the computer to administer and score tests. Some participants reported that they also used the computer as an extra source of learning ***** students while even less indicated ***** the computer w***** used for hands-on classroom activities.
