The purpose of this paper is to introduce, d*****cuss, and analyze the topic of *****n history. Specifically it will discuss the main similarities ***** differences between colonialism in Vietnam, Korea, and Taiwan. Two of these areas ***** Asia were colonized by the Japanese, and one by the French. Their experiences were all quite similar under colonial rule, but their post-***** histories can vary greatly.

Vietnamese colonialism occurred in the 19th century ***** the French. Opposition began as early as the 1920s, and continued through World War II. Communist Ho Chi Minh formed a guerilla group ***** fought colonialism, and in 1945 M*****h declared Vietnam's independence from France, but French forces pushed his group out in 1946. This began a struggle for Vietnamese control that would end with the Vietnam War.
