In September of 2002, I graduated with honors with a degree ***** Civil Electronic Engineering from the Free University of Brussels (V.U.B). Although I enjoyed studying this discipline and pursuing my degree, ***** have come to realize that my naturally extroverted personality is far more suited and more fulfilled in the fast-paced world ***** business and finance. This is why I have decided to apply for an entry-level position ***** the Financial Management Program (FMP) at General Electric.

I do not only seek an educ*****ion for myself in my new, ***** field. I also believe ***** my background has given me, as a person, a good deal that I c***** offer ***** GE ***** a *****ompany. A civil electronic eng*****eer, such as myself, is often confronted with highly complex mathematical ***** IT problems. The ***** Management ***** (FMP) would provide me with an ideal opportunity to use my strong analytical skills in the service of GE and ***** fellow tra*****ees in the program.

My desire to interact and communicate effectively with people is a skill often s*****dly lacking in ***** engineering world, but one which I have been happily able to execute in many other endeavors, including my 1995-1997 work at Hanoar Hatzioni (Antwerp, Belgium), the *****nternational Youth Organization The international nature of communication at this program came ***** to me, given ***** own varied *****. Working with the FMP would ***** provide me with the opportunity ***** put my fluency in languages ***** the cultures of the ***** *****to my daily career as well ***** my life. I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to different places including spending six months in Australia, where I took Bus*****ess English classes at ***** University of Sydney and four months in Madrid to learn Spanish. I speak, all *****ld, five languages as French is my mother tongue, along with my ground*****g in Dutch and Hebrew ***** school.

My determination to beco***** securely grounded in so ***** languages highlights most importantly, perhaps, the final key asset I could bring to GE. I ***** not view my education as a closed entity—***** am always applying myself and adding new elements to my resume ***** to my *****s of expertise, from engineering, ***** *****, to languages and beyond.

A friend of mine ***** from the FMP in 2002 and told me about the intensity and leadership-oriented nature of the program. She gave me a very realistic view ***** what to expect as an ********** f*****t pace environment as well as whetted my appetite for its intense introduction ***** the nature of financial management.
