Introduction

In recent years, the topic of workplace and employee motivation has emerged as a significant concern for both employers and management personnel. An analysis of such strategies at a retail establishment provides an example of how such motivational strategies affect the comp*****y's sales, pr*****its, workplace morale, enhanced associate skills, hiring and training, mentoring ***** employee retention for the future. The ***** must be able to appropriately and effectively motivate all staff *****s and improve performance ***** employees' resistance to increasing productivity. This paper will examine the organizational efforts of an average retail s*****re, and identify and analyze motivational theories such as managing diversity, releasing every employee's potential, *****, motivation through equity, expectancy, and goal setting levels of trust *****tween management and employees. It will conclude by applying the chosen motivational theories to management ***** discuss their impact and offer possible solutions that must be implemented before employee motivation and retention becomes an issue.

Releasing Every Employee's Potential (Associate Growth)

One such theory of employee motivation is called ***** theory, which seeks to explain all kinds ***** ********** behavior in different situations, including behavior in organizations. Compensation administration is an application of motivation ***** (Mitchell, 1992). Since the majority of behavior is sense motivated, individuals are greatly influenced by ********** environment. Thus, retail establishments c***** influence people's behavior by changing environments ***** rewards. The best known theory ***** motivation in this ********** is Maslow's theory of human motivation, which centers on the *****ory of "physiological needs (Maslow, 1943). Also, an organization's tasks vary in their requirements. Thus motivation can make little or much difference in performance, depending on the task. Several physiological and social needs have been identified and studied.
