Psychological Attitudes Toward Risk

Most companies compr*****e a risk m*****nagement plan or structure, by which all w*****kers must abide in order to minimize risk and optimize objectives and pr*****it for the company. Risk is however also problematic in terms of attitude. Because human be*****gs are not only mechanical entities that per*****m functions, the psychological aspect ***** ***** management ***** at least as important ***** its physical and practical aspects. While *****titude towards risk ***** relates to ***** types of possible risks within a *****, it is particularly applicable ***** situations in which r*****ks relating to worker interactions are at issue.

In the case of favoritism and prejudice, for example, racism and sexism are particularly sensitive ********** within a workpl*****ce. What complicates ***** issue is ***** different people have ***** attitudes ***** rac*****m and sexism, as well as what constitutes these. A man who complicates a woman on a new skirt, for example, might be regarded as sexually har*****sing the woman, while a*****her employee may react to it as a compliment. These issues theref*****e represent a risk for the company, its objectives, its productivity and ultimately ***** profit margin. It is essential ***** such *****s be managed in an appropriate ***** targeted way.

One ***** in which to mitigate ***** r*****k of problematic interpersonal relationships within the workplace is by means of both formal and informal ga*****rings. Informal gatherings ***** beneficial in terms of helping employees to become familiar with each ***** in a context other than work. Work parties ***** lunches ***** for example be used in this way. This kind of informal gathering is perhaps best instituted when there is not a large amount of tension between workers.

For greater tension levels, more formal measures can be taken. Seminars presented by human relations experts can for example help ***** t***** employees the importance ***** functioning within a diverse environment. Such seminars should ***** presented in such a w*****y as to not threaten employees or their *****s, but rather to gradually change their attitudes. ***** ***** for example begin with lectures on different cultures, their differences and similarities.
