PUBLIC HOUSING AND SOCIAL DESTRUCTION
Public housing is a serious ***** as it affects a large section of our otherw*****e affluent cities. The low income families who are forced to live in these cramped blocks are regularly encounter*****g numerous social problems including drugs, street fights and gangs and seem to have absolutely no way out. It is distressing to know that while one ***** the country's most important issues is the lack of proper housing facilities for its poor, the problem is rarely ever made it to ***** political agenda. During the election campaign we notice ***** politicians talking about *****ything from education to economy to gun control etc but rarely does anyone ever mention the housing problems of the country. The issue is of such a huge magnitude that when we study ***** problem in depth; ***** would notice the sheer neglect of the agencies ***** th***** regard. ***** poor are suffering ***** not only sub standard living, they are also being subjected to *****y kind ***** evil ***** could possibly spring from living in places that should never be termed as homes. The country has failed to acknowledge the problem *****ly, which is do*****g tremendous damage to a ***** section of the society ***** unfortunately is living well be***** the poverty line. Winton Pitcoff (2000) comments on ***** extreme housing problem of the country, ***** has led to the creation of painfully, cramped public ***** blocks.
