RACIAL FEAR
This paper presents an exploration of the impact that race has on *****e's perception by discussing how ***** influences a person's perception ***** being thre*****tened. Included in the discussion is whether white people feel afraid of a black person by virtue of h***** race *****d if so what factors may contribute to that fear. The writer examines media coverage, perceptual issues and fear ***** the unknown to explore the topic. There were four sources used to complete this paper.
INTRODUCTION
The fear that one feels when ***** encounters a person of another ***** is something that ***** often denied however, it has been proven in research studies over the years. Whether one fears Blacks, Asians, Mexicans or Caucasians the underlying fear of the unknown cannot be denied. Incidents that occur because of racially motivated anger are piped into living rooms nationwide through ***** media ***** these media events also help raise the fears of races against each *****.
STEREOTYPING
Unf*****tunately the world is full of stereotypes. Stereotyping ***** encouraged not only ***** ***** ***** coverage but ***** by comedians who gear their stand up routines to feed into the stereotypical attitudes of America. Whether it is a bl*****ck comic poking fun at his own race or other *****s or a wh*****e comic doing the same the end result is a continued increase in fear between the races ***** of the unfamiliarity ***** ***** generally experienced.
EVIDENCE
