The research in this study seeks to answer the questions of: (1) What theory ***** learn*****g best supports mathematic achievement by African American students? (2) What is the relationship between the development of a positive African ***** identity and academic success in advanced ma*****matics? (3) What ***** known about racial identity ***** student performance? (4) What can be done in the curriculum of ***** elementary and secondary schools in further*****g the ***** in Advanced Placement during ***** high school years?
