How recognition programs affect productivity

There are a lot of trends when it comes to employee motivation and compensation, because big company has determined that money is not the only thing that employees need. These employees, instead, are motivated by a lot of different ide*****s and options. In the past most employers just assumed that all employees needed to have more money. They would cheerfully do any job always and forever as long as they were being offered bonuses and ra*****es (Buford, Bedeian, & Lindner, 1995). The employer, in other words, ***** believed that money was the main ***** that really mattered to his or her *****, so that is what ***** would get (Backer, 1973). Employers started ***** realize that employees smiled when ********** were praised and ***** things like casual days helped employees to be ***** relaxed, and therefore more productive. Also, offering employees more freedom when they work in an outside sales force or in the field also helps them to stay ***** (Bowen & Radhakrishna, 1991).

***** ***** started noticing that their employees felt passionately about issues such as their vacation time or their health insur*****ce, and ***** a lot of ***** them preferred pay*****for-performance ways of making money, such ***** commission. It is hypothesized that leaders and employers can motivate their employees in a lot of different ways through the studying ***** individual abilities, career anchors, and ***** specifically motivates individuals.
