Thus the goals of the educational system should not attempt to change society or family institutions that tend to encourage Asians ***** choose certain roles or occupations o*****r others, so long ***** societal harmony ***** achieved.

These conflicts may be hidden—merely *****cause a group is socially mobile, does not mean ***** stereotypes necessarily have a psychologically positive effect. Also, in the *****evitable warring for scarce resources in the economy, certain groups may be allowed to make some social advancements, but be prohibited from reaching ***** highest levels of wealth and influence ***** a nation. Thus institutions are not necessarily benign when they ignore Asians' equal abilities to succeed in the arts, for example, or o*****r fields where this minority group's influence is less manifest at present. The conflict school ***** thought would prioritize anecdotal evidence, gathered through field research that might give clues as to whether Asians were happy in their current occupations ***** suggest that educational ***** should strive to circumvent, rather than allow ***** to triumph.
