Enhancing the Right ***** Life by the ***** to Die: A Research Proposal

Introduction

Physician assisted suicide has become a hot topic of late and many people think it is about these physicians becoming killers. This is not true, however, despite the opinions that many hold. The main problem ***** that many feel that physician assisted ***** will give doctors too much control over the deaths ***** *****ir terminally ill patients. This is not the case, though, as ***** assisted suicide will actually give the terminally ill ***** more ***** over *****ir death, ***** therefore by extension, ***** control over their life. Not all physicians would be able to do this in good conscience but there are some, most notably Dr. Jack Kevorkian, that feel that they ***** capable of ***** type of practice in order ***** help the suffering of *****ir patients.

It is hypothesized that the right to die allows for a strengthening ***** the ***** to life. *****re are, of course both religious and ethical arguments that are used when the right to die ***** discussed. However, the human rights dilemma for this issue is that ***** right to life is a b*****sic human *****. If the right to die is not included in this, the ***** to life ********** an obligation to live ***** as long ***** possible, regardless of ***** circumstances under which ***** 'life' is taking place.
