Economics Thesis
An economics thesis is a thesis paper that a student will write for an economics course. There are several different definitions for a thesis paper. Each definition varies depending on the level of academic study and the particular terminology that an institution or professor prefers to use. However, even when the type of thesis paper differs, the basic requirements will be the same for an economics thesis.

If a student has to write an economics thesis as part of a college level economics class, then the thesis is most likely going to be similar to a term paper. The student will have to research a subject related to economics in order to write the paper. The paper will then be the final paper that a student produces for the economics course.
Regardless of whether students work on their economics theses as part of a graduate program or as part of an undergraduate program, the nature of the theses are still going to be the same. The student should begin the paper with an introduction into the specific subject matter that he or she plans to cover in the thesis. The introduction should include background information about the subject as well as definitions that the writer will use in order to complete the thesis.
The introduction should also contain a thesis statement, which is a one-sentence statement of purpose that the student will prove to be true in the thesis paper. Economics theses should then have body paragraphs that support that thesis statement. Each body paragraph should include new information or ideas. These ideas should be tied together in a final conclusion, which is a one-paragraph recap of the information in the thesis as well as the student's own conclusion about the information.
An economics thesis is very similar to a research paper in that the student will have to research an area of economics in order to create the thesis. However, a thesis is usually a larger body of work that takes weeks or months to produce. It also usually accounts for a significant portion of a student's grade. Therefore, it is often more involved than a research paper.
