What is a Dissertation

What is a dissertation?  It is a formal, academic research document that usually serves as the final document that a learner will write in order to receive a PhD degree.  Most dissertations are published in nationally accessible journals and become an integral part of a student's career.

A PhD dissertation is generally one of the most important articles that a learner will write in his or her career and should be treated as such.
