In light of these facts I believe that striving to utilize cloud computing within a classroom setting is essentially a waste of time. It may be useful in facilitation constructivism and cooperative learning, since the principle focus of all three of these things is to encourage interaction among users/students. But it is certainly not necessary. Moreover, I think that many of the perceived benefits that the author attributed to this technology are not actually fundamental to learning.

A good example of one of these facets of cloud computing for educational purposes that the author revers is the fact that there is a lineage of the data kept within various records of a specific application of, say, Google Docs. The author poses the notion that this feature is more advantageous to conventional classroom learning, since once something is discussed and erased off of a conventional whiteboard, it is perpetually gone. Such a statement, however, is only one version of a truth. True, that information is no longer on the whiteboard. However, prudent students are always encouraged to copy information off the whiteboard, whether they choose to do so via electronic means or those involving pen and paper. I believe it is dangerous to assume that technology can replace prudent scholarship, which is what some of Denton's passages suggest.
