Health Benefits of Yoga

Yoga has been in practice for more than five thousand years, and presently, close to eleven million Americans enjoy its health benefits. Yoga can scarcely be called a trend. Most Westernized yoga classes center on learning physical poses, which are called asanas. They also typically comprise some form of breathing method and perhaps a meditation system as well. Some yoga classes are intended solely for leisure. But there are styles of yoga that teach one how to move their body in new ways.
