[. . .] Leaders can take part in crafting and implementing an organizational culture that supports the development of positive organizational behavior. Workshops, training, and education are all essential tools that can assist in this process. However, it starts with leadership: leaders must take the initiative in providing workers with the support they need. Servant leadership and transformational leadership would facilitate this directive and the followers of these leaders would reciprocate the good will by manifesting a positive organizational behavior that benefits the organization as a whole. This organizational behavior would consist of both challenge- and affiliation-oriented OCB, both of which could be supported by the organization by way of incentives offered to workers who want to help build and strengthen the workplace culture through extra-dedication and commitment to solving workplace problems and assisting the organization in overcoming obstacles.

Submitting to a Scholarly Journal

A journal that would be an appropriate place to submit this article to would be the Journal of Organizational Behavior, published by Wiley. It is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that focuses specifically on organizational behavior as a subject and is thus perfectly suited to the type of article written here. I chose this journal because it specifically applies to the subject of the article and the article specifically applies to the focus of the journal.

In order to submit to the journal, there are specific instructions that should be followed. The journal has an online submission and peer review system that authors must use in order to submit articles. Articles must be submitted in .doc, .rtf., .ppt or .xls format. The article must be written in English and formatted in 12-point type, with font in either Times, Helvetica or Courier. Articles should be double-spaced and should conform to the guidelines as they appear in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition—APA, 6. Tables should be on separate pages following the reference list and should not be part of the main text. Figures should be uploaded as separate files. Articles should not be more than 40 pages in length, including references, tables and figures, and anything over 50 pages will not be considered. If a writer does have an article that is greater than 50 pages, the author should discuss its publication with the Editor-in-chief before submitting. References should be accurately recorded and the DOI should be included at the end of the reference whenever possible. Online citations should include the date of retrieval and if unpublished or personal work is cited in the text it should not be included in the reference list. Manuscript text should include no personal identifiable markings, and the first page should include just the title and keywords. A separate title page as a separate document file should be uploaded and it should include the author details and biographies.
