Mixed Method:

Mixed design research is an integrated method of study. It utilizes a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The mixed method of research is highlighted in Creswell &, Clark (2010).

Research design:

Research design delivers a road-map for stipulating procedural steps to be taken for assembly and analysis of desirable information which can be mainly categorized into quantitative and qualitative research. All of these models have their own merits and demerits. Additionally the scope of the study is also determined by the research design castoff in the study. The usage of quantitative research design is reinforced with the view that the researcher concentrates on the objective material which provides the study with a noteworthy level of reliability and validity. Along with that the numerical information which is a crucial feature of the quantitative study provides the researcher with the simplicity of tabulating the data. But one major limitation evident in the use of the quantitative approach is the stress on objective information, which can result in loss of some significant facets of information.

Qualitative research design on the supplementary hand is able to address this constraint by providing the researcher with admittance to the in-depth material about range of research. It permits the researcher to obtain detailed information about the opinion and perspectives held by the characters. The advantage of accessing detailed information can also pose a limitation to the researcher as it can become problematic to generalize the information on the people of the study since each case is different from the other ones. The intensified focus on subjectivity makes a significant level of knowledge about perception of individuals. The researcher can have difficulty in drawing inferences that can be generalized across other similar cases.

The current study has been based on qualitative research model. The plan for making this choice is that to use secondary sources of information such as relevant professional literature, books, and journals that will provide detailed information about the linkages between loan associations, part of community-based credit support, and technology highlighting the role played in some of the countries. These sources of literature will also support the research in congregation of information about the usefulness of loan associations in developing countries. The use of secondary data is in alignment with the qualitative research plan, as it permits the researcher to develop a context on the basis of previous researches.

Eminent scholars have delineated the steps involved in the qualitative research. The research process is started by the development of research questions. In the next stage, the researcher classifies the sample, and passages on to the congregation of relevant information from the targeted sample. Once the data collection process has been accomplished, the researcher could draw inferences from it, which could be further incorporated into the now existing theoretical context. Finally, these inferences could be assembled in the report presentation with concluding remarks (Bryan & Bell, 2007). Similar format has been accepted for the current study, with the researcher using questions and hypotheses to direct the process of data collection. The relevant information was collected and scrutinized against the hypotheses. The theoretical foundations have been used to draw inferences and justifications to verify or discard the research hypotheses (Bryan & Bell, 2007).

One of the key aims of identifying the people of the study is to point out the cases that can be involved in the research. In addition to this, the results generated from the sample can be generalized on the people of the study. The sampling procedures used in researchers involving participation of human subjects wouldn't be relevant in this scenario; therefore the group of the researches can be roughly identified as comprising of the literature ranging from the year 2006 to 2014, which deals with the role of establishing loan associations in developing countries. It is also dealing with the role that technology can play to raise awareness within underprivileged communities in developing countries. The part of the local community-based loan organization is also studied in relation to the help provided in different countries. These case studies provide the relative grounds for understanding the level of generalizability appropriate in different parts of the world.

The study would focus on prior researches, including the peer-reviewed journal articles and scholarly research which has been conducted on the subject of part local loan associations can play in educating and providing state backed community-based credit support system in particular. However, in order to keep the study focused and confined to the defined parameters, the literature will be selected out of the extant research work in this domain. Target literature should essentially be precisely defined, on the basis of the capability of the article to fulfill the criteria to ensure their inclusion in the study. The main criterion was based on the condition that the literature which was published over a span of last 8 years and only peer reviewed journal articles was shortlisted to disable any possible appearance of bias in the selection of the sample.

Technically, the sampling techniques have been broadly classified into probability and non-probability sampling. The probability sampling is based in the selection of cases which have an identified chance of being selected as subjects in the sample (Saharan & Boogie, 2010). On the other hand the non-probability sampling doesn't hold the same equal chances of inclusion of the people as part of the study. Since, the current study has been aiming to explore about the effective role loan communities can play in remote communities of developing countries with the exploration based on secondary data obtained from prior literature. The sampling method can be seen as reflecting the use of non-probability methods. The researcher has used purposive sampling to locate the relevant literature that fulfills the criteria of the study and valid provides secondary information about the subject. Purposive sampling can be used in cases where the researcher is aiming to use information from the literature that follows certain criteria fixed by the researcher (Saharan & Boogie, 2010). The articles which were published prior to the year 2006 were not involved in the research project so as to keep the research aligned with the recent developments in the research area. The characteristics of selected literature are that it contained all the key concepts and theories attached with loan associations.

Research Designs Considered:

The research design methodologies considered for the present study are also presented and discussed as following. The widely accepted research designs were considered keeping in view the qualitative approach accepted as a standard basis. The details below are presented to enables to enhance the understanding related to research methodology and relevance of design principles.

Convergent Design:

The parallel use of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods is regarded as convergent design.

Explanatory Sequential Design:

It provides a focus on quantitative data, drawing inferences based on the method. After the inferences are drawn the qualitative data is collected to support darn inferences.

Exploratory Sequential Design:

The sequential design is based on the qualitative data collection and in the next stage the quantitative data is collected to support or reject the research hypothesis.

The Embedded Design:

The initial group of research information enables the formulation of research design.

The Multiphase Design: The effectiveness of the program is used as a research basis. The research hypothesis is validated based on the basis of results obtained through qualitative and quantitative design.

Data analysis:

There are two broad methods of data analysis i.e. statistical and non-statistical. As the study does not involve gathering of numeric data, and no study is conducted to test the research hypothesis and research questions. Therefore non-statistical data analysis method has been used. The non-statistical process involves the critical evaluation of literature and validating the veracity of theories and models being presented in the reviewed literature. The critical study has been conducted by defining the context of the literature review as the continuous part of advanced research about loan associations. The perspective of research was set slightly broader than academic sources by including proceedings and reports of conferences on sustainable communities and economic loan associations.

Literature from peer reviewed journals modern research on the subject's academic research material will be studied to gauge the quality and associated factors of poverty elimination. Academic literature will be critically analyzed in order to draw generalizations from the study materials. The literature was analyzed with respect to the academic theories included in the materials and the expert reviews of the scholars. The data being made available for the literature review was tested for its veracity and only contemporary journal articles were included.

The role of loan associations in providing credit support system for local communities in developing countries is reviewed against performance in developed countries. The general guidelines for working of loan associations are considered as the benchmark. The sources of savings and funds are categorized as two main forms i.e. The internal and external sources… [END OF PREVIEW] . . . READ MORE
